FiddleSticks Camp 2011
Yes, it’s that time of year: FiddleSticks Camp 2011.
Who and what is FiddleSticks Camp?
To sum it up in just a few sentences, FiddleSticks Camp is a weekly meet for 5 weeks that teaches young musicians and string players, beginning and experienced alike, new technique and skill tailored to each student personally. At previous camps, students who had no ability to read music when the camp started could read, recognize, and play notes by the end FiddleSticks Camp. Students that had previous experience are taught precision, and among other things, more advanced technique.
We will be playing musically educational games in an interactive group setting as well as focusing on each student individually to see what best fits each of their needs as musicians. Students can attend in either violin, viola, or cello, but do need to provide the instrument themselves.
